I agree that it's unprofessional, but they are claiming it on safety grounds.

We dont seem to have had much feedback on the switch of wheel size.
Is it considered a success and people are happy with it, or is it just they think now that its done there is no point complaining as it will not be reversed?

Formal confirmation from Pirelli of a new specification to be brought at Silverstone. Teams will be allowed to test it in Spain. Supposedly same characteristics despite new, more robust construction
Why are Pirelli continuously surprised by the rate of Formula 1 teams' development? It seems every other year they make an insufficient tyre

So they are going to make a more robust tyre, thats likely to last even longer into the GP.

Another new compound to be introduced in Silverstone! Guess who would be the beneficiary?A new specification of slick Formula 1 tyre will be in use from the British Grand Prix in July following the approval by the FIA of a request from tyre supplier Pirelli to introduce a new construction.
Pirelli said the change was necessary based on the significant leap in car performance in the opening five grands prix of the 2023 F1 season compared to simulation data provided to it by the teams before the start of the season – performance that Pirelli said is likely to “increase still further over the rest of the season”.

Not even silverstone will see the C0.. Suzuka and Zandvoort are still possibilities
Canada and Austria will be C3-C5, as it was last year

New specification of tyre is coming from Britain onwards. Rumoured to bring a stronger front, according to Formu1a Uno's information from Ferrari. RB representative quoted as saying that the new tyre won't make a significant difference, but Vasseur hoping it will be a game changer
Hungary C3-C5 and Belgium C2-C4 is not surprising
However Hungary will feature the strange qualifying that was expected at Imola before cancellation: hards will be used in Q1, mediums in Q2, and only in Q3 will they use the softs.
