The output is not the problem.
What drivers want is good torque following (the PU delivers exactly what the driver pedal position input asks for) and that the relationship between pedal position, engine speed and torque is predictable (does not have large discontinuities).
They used to have different torque maps for the throttle pedal (just like you have on super sport bikes the last few years), but this is forbidden since Ferrari used in in the Schumacher years, it was seen as a driver aid.
Apart from that, the slick track in Turkey was just to bad...
